One of the most embarrassing dog behaviors is humping. Dogs will hump anything, it seems: pet parents, a guest, pillow, air ,a dog hump sex toy. Humping is a common behavior complaint among pet parents, in puppies and adult dogs alike — and even in altered canines. 

You always wonder why your dog humps — and what you can do about it.

Although humping may be embarrassing to adults, it can injure babies. Some dogs even get aggressive when they are humping; you don't want your baby bit when you try to get the dog off of your baby.

Generally speaking, a dog humping is relatively harmless.when it come to child, a particularly tricky situation.

If the humping is occasional and seems limited to certain things like a dog hump sex toy, it can probably be ignored.

Humping, or mounting, is an action that seems inherently sexual in nature. However, this is not always the case.

Humping is part instinct and part learned behavior and, most importantly, it is completely normal for dogs. 

It only becomes a behavior problem when your dog humps people, upsets other dogs by mounting them, or when the humping is excessive.
